Special EPS-TOPIK

  • Overview
    • Prevents illegal stay by encouraging foreign workers whose period of stay has expired to voluntarily return to their home countries.
    • Supports the re-employment of skilled workers through designated job placement*
      * Designated job placement is available for those who have worked for more than one year at their last workplace and have passed the Special EPS-TOPIK after applying to take the test for the same industry as their last workplace.
  • Eligibility Requirements for Special EPS-TOPIK
    • Re-employed foreign workers who voluntarily departed within their period of stay (departure date: January 1, 2010, or later)
      ※ If it's confirmed that the candidate did not voluntarily depart, the test will be invalidated regardless of the score.
      ※ Includes individuals with G-1 status who voluntarily departed within their period of stay
    • Male or Female from 18 to 39 years old
    • No criminal record
    • No experience of deportation from Republic of Korea
    • No restriction on immigration (reason for disqualification)
    • Not staying in Korea for more than 5 years with E-9 visa
    • Not staying in Korea for more than 5 years with E-10 visa
    • Not staying in Korea for a combined period of more than 5 years under E-9 and E-10 visa

      * Job-related questions are only applicable to the manufacturing industry. Other industries will have 20 common questions.

    • Passing Criteria : From those who score 120 points or higher, candidates will be selected according to the quota allocated to each country.

      - The quota for each country is determined annually based on the proportion of applicants from each country within the Special EPS-TOPIK designated job placement quota.
